What is Molluscum ?

Molluscum contagiosum also known water warts, is a viral infection of the skin that results in small, raised, pink, painless lesions with a dimple in the centre.

How does Molluscum infection occur ?

It is caused by infection through Molluscum contagiosum virus. Infection is contagious and spreads through direct contact.

How does Molluscum Extraction work ?

Molluscum extraction works by using a special tool known as a Molluscum extractor. The procedure is safe, quick and very effective. It can be done easily at the OPD.

What are the possible side effects ?

Possible side effects of comedone removal include

• Pain or discomfort

• Infection.

Molluscum extraction should only be conducted by performed by a dermatologist. If not done correctly there is a risk of skin damage and scarring.
